Alliance Bernstein
Summary
New structured cabling system for AllianceBernstein
Systems
Tyco AMP Cat6
Project Description
AllianceBerstein is on of the largest publicly traded global asset
management firms in the world.
When AllianceBernstein were refurbishing their offices in Berkeley Street, Able were contracted to build a new structured cabling system. Spread over four floors, Able installed 5,000 new outlets and over 4,000 computer room links. A tight programme required
completion in less than size weeks, achieved by using pre-termination to pre-build cable assemblies off site and night working on site.
Each floor was flood wired back to two patch rooms per floor. All of the patch rooms were connected to the main and backup computer rooms through diversely routed Cat6 copper and OM3 fibre.
Able were subsequently awarded the contract to review the cabling at Devonshire House, another AllianceBernstein site in London.
